It was back in December when Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5, currently, the device is being sold in India via Amazon, & Flipkart. Fast forward, according to latest rumors suggest that the tech giant plans to launch the successor of the Redmi 5 i.e. the Redmi 6 & Redmi 6 Plus next Thursday (12th June).
Xiaomi has confirmed the news on the Chinese social media website; Weibo.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 or 6A: Rumored Specification & Pricing
The Redmi series has been one of the top-selling smartphones in the Indian market, the currently available Redmi 5 is having a Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, 5.7-inch IPS HD+ display, 2 Gigs of RAM, 16 Gigs of ROM, 12 MP rear-facing camera & 5 MP front-facing camera, and a 3300 mAh battery.
So, it’s obvious that in the Redmi 6 & Redmi 6 Plus, Xiaomi will bring in more powerful hardware, better display resolution, and other features.
According to sources, the Redmi 6 will be having a screen size of around 5.5-inch, with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1440p), at the heart of the device, Xiaomi most probably will be using the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor which Xiaomi has used in several smartphones including last year’s Redmi Note 4, this year’s Note 5, and the latest Redmi Y2.
When it comes to the camera, if the leaked images are to be true, the rear of the Redmi 6 will have a dual-camera setup featuring a 12 MP + 5 MP camera set up, and at the front, you have a 5 MP sensor for taking selfies.
Out of the box, the device will be running on the latest MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) which is certainly a good thing considering its predecessor which came with Android 7.1.2 (Nougat).
In terms of battery, the Redmi 6 is rumored to have a 3000 mAh battery. The device will be available in two variants; the lower variant will have 2 Gigs of RAM and 16 Gigs of ROM, and the higher variant will feature 3 Gigs of RAM and 32 Gigs of ROM.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the pricing of the Redmi 6 is expected to start from Rs 7K to 10K.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Plus/ Pro: Expected specification & Pricing
We all were expecting the Redmi 6 but no one of was expecting the Redmi 6 Plus/Pro. The first major difference that can be noticed between the Redmi 6 Plus and the Redmi 6 is the notch, according to sources, the Redmi 6 Plus will be coming with a notch, and we have already seen the Mi 8 series smartphone features the iPhone X like Notch.
The display is expected to be larger, the Redmi 6 Plus is expected to come with a 5.84-inch screen courtesy of 19:9 aspect ratio having a full HD+ resolution.
Coming to the hardware, the unlike the Redmi 6 which is expected be fitted with a Snapdragon 625, the Redmi 6 Pro might come with a more powerful chipset, it is rumored that the device will be having the Snapdragon 660 which is also expected to running on another upcoming Xiaomi smartphone the Mi Max 3.

Like its younger sibling, the Redmi 6 Plus is also expected to come in two or more variants; 2 GB, 3 GB, and 4 GB RAM variants. Like the Redmi 6, the Redmi 6 Plus will also be running on the latest MIUI 10.
In terms of camera, the Redmi 6 Plus is expected to come with the same camera setup used in Redmi 6 but the dual-camera setup will be vertical instead of horizontal.
At the back, the Redmi 6 Plus is expected to house a 3500 mAh or even a bigger 4000 mAh battery.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the Redmi 6 Plus price in India is expected to start from Rs. 12K.
