The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 3,999 and currently is the cheapest dual-camera smartphone that you can get in the smartphone market. So, if you are planning to buy this smartphone then please continue reading as in this post we are going to give a look at the top 7 things to know about the Swipe Elite X.

Top 7 things to know about the Swipe Elite X

So, here are the top 7 things to know about the Swipe Elite X:-

#7. Still running on Nougat

One of the cons of this device is that it’s still running on Android 7.0 Nougat, if Swipe would have launched the product with at least the latest version Nougat i.e. 7.1.2, then it would have been proper. And given the fact that it’s a low-budget smartphone, the Elite X won’t be getting any future updates.

#6. FWVGA display

In order to stand out from the crowd, Swipe launched the Elite X with dual-camera at an unimaginable price, but almost cut the phone’s spec in every other department. Smartphones around this price range come with a full HD display having an LCD screen. Sadly, with the Elite X, you don’t get an LCD screen nor an HD display.

#5. Hardware

As mentioned, Swipe did a lot of cuts to make the smartphone available at such a low price. As a result of it, the device gets a Spreadtrum processor which nowadays isn’t seen anymore, almost all low-budget smartphones mostly features a MediaTek MT67 series quad-core chipset.

As far as RAM and ROM are concerned, you get 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM. Out of 1 Gigs of RAM, you get around 300 MB of free space, so this isn’t smartphone which someone who does a quite a lot of multitasking would be considering.

#4. Good battery life

One of the good things about the Swipe Elite X is that the device comes with a 3000 mAh battery, and with an FWGA display, the device will easily be able to last 1-2 days. And the battery you get with this device is removable.

#3. Dedicated micro SD card slot

Now for those of you are planning to buy this device, you’ll be glad to know that the Elite X does come with a dedicated micro SD card slot, so along with two SIMs, you’ll also be able to use a micro SD card simultaneously.

#2. Not meant for multitasking

The device comes with the full-fledged version of Android 7.0 Nougat, if Swipe could have waited for a while and launch the smartphone with Android Go, then the hardware would have been decent for both multitasking and gaming. But’s that not the reality, with only 300 MB of free space doing heavy multitasking on this device is not going to possible.

#1. Dual-camera works?

Well the main USP of the device is the dual-camera, but the dual camera really doesn’t help, if you think that the camera takes pictures in portrait mode, then you are going to be disappointed. The rear camera fails to focus on objects in front of it, even though, there is some blurry effect but it’s been done via software.

Overall, the smartphone could have come with better specs, especially in terms of hardware. As of now, Swipe does need to fix the dual-camera issue ASAP. If you are planning to buy a basic smartphone with 4G under 4000 then you can consider buying this device. As far as the camera is concerned, the Elite X isn’t the best option to go with.
