So, here are top 7 things to know about the new Samsung Galaxy A9-

The Galaxy A9 flaunts a 6.0 inch Super AMOLED display, which also makes the A9 the first Samsung smartphone to sport 6.0 inch screen, the display looks quite good, viewing angles are also good, however, texts doesn’t look that sharp courtesy of ~367 ppi, overall, it’s not the best display if we look at the price segment.

The USP of the device has to be its enormous 4000 mAh non-removable battery, which can easily give two 2-3 days of usage, other than that, it also comes with quick charge 3.0 support, so you’ll be able to charge the device from 0-100 % within 70-90 mins.

The Galaxy A8 wasn’t good at gaming, however you’ll not have to face such kind of issues with the Galaxy A9, as the device packs a new Adreno 510 GPU,  which makes it capable enough to handle any kind of games you throw at it without facing any kind of issues.

The Galaxy A9 gets a 13 MP rear facing camera and a 8 MP front facing camera, other than LED flash, the rear camera also comes with OIS, the camera quality of the device is really good, especially the front facing camera which takes some really good pictures, however, what’s disappointing to see that, the camera doesn’t support 4K recording, which is a big setback for such a premium device.

5.Expandable storage

This another big improvement in the Galaxy A9, unlike the A8, which uses a hybrid sim slot, the A9 comes with comes with separate microSD card slot, which can be expanded up to 128 GB. So, basically you will have the option to use two sim cards and a microSD card altogether.

6.Still running on Lollipop

It’s really disappointing to see is that the device runs on Android v5.1.1(Lollipop) as it was launched this year, although Samsung has confirmed that the device is going to receive the Android 6.0(Marshmallow) update, but according to sources, the device will receive the update after Samsung launches its much-awaited Galaxy S7.

Under the hood, the device packs a new Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset, which is being assisted by 3 GB of RAM, so doing heavy multi-tasking on this device will not be an issue, and in Antutu it scores around 67K, which is very impressive.
