Top 7 things to know about the Samsung Galaxy A5(2016)
The smartphone giant Samsung is all set to launch the upgraded model of its Galaxy A series in India, the previous A series failed to deliver and couldn’t stay in the competition for a long period, now it will be interesting to see whether their new upgraded version will be able to gain some attention this time, on paper the devices looks to be promising, with that being said, in this we are going to talk about the lower variant i.e Galaxy A5 2016 and share the top 7 things which you might want to know about it.
So, here are the top 7 things to know about the Samsung Galaxy A5(2016)-
The new Galaxy A5 2016 also comes with a fingerprint sensor, and like all the rest Samsung devices, the A5 2016 also houses the fingerprint sensor underneath home button, now the real deal is the performance, and it is not very good, the fingerprint sensor is one of the least accurate and fails to recognize most of the times.
Leaving the flaws behind, the device really impresses in the battery segment, the 2900 mAh provides a good backup, which is sufficient enough to give 1-2 days usage, if you are moderate user, and for a heavy user it will easily last a full working day, another good thing is that the battery also comes with fast charging support, as a result the battery can be charged from 0-100 % within an hour.
When it comes to looks, the A5 2016 definitely gets the rating, the metallic body, sleek design gives the device a very attractive look, design wise, the device looks very similar to the Note 5, Galaxy A9, Galaxy S6, what’s interesting is that the device isn’t that heavy and is very easy to hold in hand. Apart from the display, the glass back panel also gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The Galaxy A5 2016 packs a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, which is quite disappointing, as the gaming performance is not that good, the device struggles to handle heavy games, even in low graphics setting there are minor stutters and lags.
Despite being launched in 2016, the A5 runs on Android v5.1.1(Lollipop), and there is no such confirmation, whether it will receive the latest Android v6.0(Marshmallow) update, which is quite upsetting.
The new Galaxy A5 2016 arms a 13 MP rear facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera, when it comes to quality, both the pair of camera does a pretty good job, but the color balance is not that good, images sometimes to seems to be over exposed, and pictures taken in low-light conditions misses to catch a lot of details.
7.Value for money
Samsung has priced the device at Rs 29,400, but if we give a look at the specification, then it’s not very appealing or even satisfying, at this price point you can easily go with better alternatives like the Lenovo Vibe X3, Moto X Pure, Huawei Honor 7, OnePlus 2,etc so when it comes to value for money, it’s not a great device to go with.
