Lenovo has been putting up some pretty good smartphones in the mid-range and low-budget segment. The company has been one of the few brands that have been giving tough competition to the budget king Xiaomi.

What’s surprising is that Lenovo has already stopped producing and launching Lenovo branded smartphones in the Western market, and has been pushing Motorola’s G series smartphones, the same kind of trend is beginning to develop in the Indian market too.

After Moto C, C Plus, and new Z Play, the Lenovo is all set to launch its latest low-budget smartphone; Motorola Moto E4 Plus.

The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 12th of this month. Lenovo has been promoting this device all over the internet and media, now the big question is that it is really that good? Well to find out, keep reading this post, as we are going to mention the top 7 things which should know about the Motorola Moto E4 Plus.

So, here are the top 7 things to know about the Motorola Moto E4 Plus-

#7.  Display

The Moto E4 Plus features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel, however, despite fearing a large screen, you don’t get a full HD display, instead, and you get a 720p panel.

The display is okay but not that great, the screen can get very bright which makes viewing in bright sunlight easier, on the other hand, the viewing angles aren’t that great, and the color reproduction is not up to the mark. In total, the screen quality is decent so don’t expect too much.

#6. Gaming performance

Quite similar to the recently launched Moto C Plus, the Moto E4 Plus also is not a good gaming smartphone, in fact, its gaming performance is really poor.

If you like playing games like Dead Trigger 2, Mini Militia, then expect to face some lags and frame drops every now and then.

When it comes to heavy games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, then these games are almost not playable on this device all thanks to mediocre Mali-T720 GPU.

#5. Hardware

The hardware of the Moto E4 Plus isn’t powerful, beneath the hood, you get a MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM.

Given the pricing of the Moto E4 Plus, which is expected to be around 9-10K, a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor could have been used, unfortunately, you get a MediaTek MT6735P chipset.

If you are someone who uses a lot of apps simultaneously then expect to face some lags, while using apps like Facebook, SnapChat, MS Word, etc.

#4. OS

One thing the Motorola can brag is about the OS they give on their smartphones. The Moto E4 Plus runs on the latest Android v7.1.1 (Nougat), and there are no smartphones in its price range that is running on the latest version of the Android Nougat.

Despite a mediocre processor, the Stock UI gives you no issues during the day to day usage, until and unless you try to open some bulky apps or games.

#3. Dedicated microSD slot

One issue which every smartphone user face while buying a smartphone is the lack of storage, and due the presence of Hybrid slots makes it worse.

Well, you will not face this issue with the Moto E4 Plus, as similar to the other G series smartphones, the Moto E4 Plus also comes with a dedicated microSD slot, which can be expanded up to 128 GB.

#2. Camera

In their ads, Lenovo seems to be bragging about Moto E4 Plus camera, and there is a reason for them do that courtesy of the camera that you get on Moto G5 Plus, G4 Plus, etc. However, in comparison to the G5 Plus, the camera of the Moto  E4 Plus is not that great.

Yes, the camera delivers good images and is much better in terms of quality if you compare with the likes of the K6 Power, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 4, but you can’t put it up against cameras of the Moto G5, G5 Plus or even the Honor 6X.

#1. Battery life

The battery has to be the USP of this smartphone, at the back of the Moto E4 Plus, you get a giant 5000 mAh battery, which is also the reason why the smartphone weighs near 200 grams.

Nonetheless, the battery life on this device is pretty great, on a full charge it can easily give you 2-3 days of usage, and to you also get a Motorola Turbocharger with this device, thereby enabling you to charge the device from 0-100 % within 90-120 minutes.
