So, here are the top 7 things which you must know about the brand new Hauwei Honor 5X-
The Huawei Honor 5X comes with a fingerprint sensor placed right below the rear camera, despite of being a budget device, the fingerprint sensor works really well and unlocks the device within less than 1 second, apart from being quick, it is also reliable and accurate. Another good thing is that, the fingerprint sensor also comes with gesture support, which are seen on the high-end Honor series.
Like its predecessors, the Honor 5X fails to impress in the gaming department, however, you can play casual to moderate games without facing any kind of laginess, if and only if they are played on medium graphics.
Looking at the hardware, the device packs a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor bundled with 2/3 GB of RAM, when it comes to performance, the device doesn’t deliver a smooth multi-tasking experience due to some UI issues, however, it may get fixed after receiving some updates.
Regarding the camera, the Honor 5X houses a 13 MP rear facing camera, which is being assisted by a dual-tone LED flash, and at the front it houses a 5 MP camera, coming to the quality, both the cameras does a really good job in good lighting conditions, and looking at the price point, the camera quality seems to be impressive.
Another department in which the Honor 5X really impresses is the battery life, the device offers a SOT of more than 5+ hours, which is really excellent, apart from that, the battery comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support, so you can charge the device from 0-100 % within 60 mins.
The speaker placed at the bottom is not that loud and clear, and while playing games or watching videos you can easily block the speaker, another bad thing is that in noisy areas you will not be able to hear any kind of sound coming out of the speaker.
Out of the box, the Honor 5X runs on Emotion UI 3.1 on top of Android v5.1.1 (Lollipop), but the good thing is that, Huawei will also be releasing frequent updates for the Honor 5X, which includes the Android v 6.0(Marshamllow) and Emotion UI 4.0 update.
