Motorola last month launched its new mid-range budget smartphone the new Moto G(3rd gen), which is said to be the successor of the Moto G (2nd gen). The device packs some good specs giving a competition to other budget devices in the mid-range segment. The company has also added new features to the device and one of them is that the body of the device is IPX7 certified, which means it could stay under water at a depth of 1 meter for around 30 minutes. Motorola’s new MotoG(3rd gen) comes in two variants, one with 1 GB of RAM having 8 GB of internal memory and the other with 2 GB of RAM having 16 GB of internal memory. For now, the new Moto G(3rd gen) is available in India only via Flipkart .So, let us see what the new Moto G(3rd gen) has to offer.
Motorola’s new Moto G(3rd gen) device is a dual-sim device ,comes with 4G support. With the device, you will be getting the normal accessories like a pair of earphone which are of moderate quality, standard charger having two USB ports allowing you to charge two devices simultaneously at a time and a standard USB data cable for charging and for data shrinking. Display and Design
Coming to the display and design. The new Moto G (3rd gen) comes with a 5.0-inch screen, having a IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of (720x1080p).The phone is having a Gorilla Glass 3 protection making the screen scratch resistant. Coming to the design of the device, the new Moto G(3rd gen) pretty much looks like the Moto G (2nd gen) except the new curvier body, textured back giving a nice feel in the hand .

The new Moto G(3rd gen) runs on the latest Android O.S v5.1.1(Lollipop) , Motorola hasn’t confirmed yet whether the device will be getting any further Android update . The device’s interface gives a simple stock android experience, with not much of customization ,but the good thing is that the stock android interface gives you a lag free experience when it comes to multi-tasking. The device doesn’t come with much of third party apps .

Hardware and Storage
Motorola has also improved the hardware, the new Moto G(3rd gen), the device is powered by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, supported by 1 / 2 GB of RAM, now as Motorola is offering two variants, it will be better to go with the 2 GB variant which will give a smooth multi-tasking experience without many lags compared to the 1 GB variant. Coming to the GPU the device has an Adreno 306 GPU, for gamers the device will give an average performance when it comes to gaming , the device is most suitable for moderate gaming.
When it comes to the storage the Moto G(3rd gen) comes in two variants one variant offers 8 GB of internal memory and the other one offers 16 GB of internal memory , both the device comes with a microSD slot which can be expanded up to 128 GB. However, it is better to go with the 16 GB variant.
Camera and Connectivity
Motorola has improved in the camera department , the new Moto G(3rd gen) is equipped with a 13 MP rear facing camera offering a resolution of (4120 x 3496p) ,having a dual LED flash which allows you take pictures with a good amount of light in indoor and low-light conditions. At the front, there is a 5 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Both the camera takes good quality pictures. When it comes to video recording the device allows you to record full HD videos at 1080p@30fps. The Moto G(3rd gen) comes with a simple camera interface having features like HDR, autofocus, panorama,geo-tagging, face detection. Motorola has added new features to the device one of them is when the device is locked ,if you rotate it twice the camera app will open up and on rotating again the front camera will open. On default, the video will be recorded at 1080p and slow motion recording is allowed at 720p.
When it comes to connectivity, the new Moto G(3rd gen) comes with 4G,3G,2G n support, other than that the device comes with all common connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.0 ,Wifi,FM Radio .Another good thing about this device is that both the sim slots support 4G.The Moto G(3rd Gen) also comes with U.S.B O.T.G support, all you need to have is a third party app,which can be downloaded from play store.

Powering the new Moto G(3rd gen) is a Li-lon 2470 mAh non-removable battery which gives a decent talk time backup of around 11 hours in 3g and about 14 hours in 2G .The 2470 mAh battery is non-removable.
