Most of us have the perception that if we delete any file or directory using ‘Shift + Del’ key from our Windows PC, it gets deleted from the hard drive completely, well that’s not true.

  • Next, go to the desired destination from where you want to delete your files
  • Right-click on that particular folder or file.
  • Select delete using ‘Eraser’

Once you select that option the particular file or directory will be deleted from your hard drive permanently. So before deleting any files or directories make sure that you have taken a backup of it.

The time taken by this tool is bit lengthy but don’t worry because it will completely erase all of your data.

In order to be sure, we did try to recover the deleted files using a recovery tool ‘EaseUS’, but to our surprise, it couldn’t recover the files deleted using Eraser.
