Full specs, price and things to know about the Motorola One Vision

After Moto G5, Motorola hasn’t been able to woo the Indian customers with their latest G series smartphones.

Last year they introduced their first Android One smartphone; Moto One Power. This year, they have launched a new Android One smartphone; One Vision.

The Motorola One Vision is the latest offering from Motorola in the budget segment and is the second smartphone from Motorola to come with the Android One program.

One of the primary reasons behind the failure of the G series smartphones in the Indian market is the pricing.

The price point at which Motorola is selling their G series smartphone is a bit expensive given the specification which their offering.

Fast forward, a few days ago, Motorola unveiled its new smartphone under the Android One program; One Vision.

The One Vision will be available in India via Flipkart. Now, if you are someone who wants to know the Motorola One Vision specs, pricing in India, then please do keep reading the article.

Keeping the negativity aside, we should give credits to Motorola for making sure that there is an Android One competitor out there giving competition to the counterparts like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, Galaxy A50, etc.

So far, we haven’t got to see any Android One smartphone coming from Nokia or Xiaomi, which makes Motorola One Vision the only new Android One smartphone in this price segment.

So, in this post, we are going to look at top things to know about the Motorola One Vision: –

#1. Motorola One Vision gaming performance

One of the reasons which make the Motorola One Vision an interesting smartphone is the chipset; the Motorola One Vision is the only and first smartphone from Lenovo to feature a Samsung Exynos chipset.

The One Vision packs a 9609 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz.  The processor is coupled with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.

When it comes to the gaming performance of Motorola One Vision, the device performs really well, games like Asphalt 8, Asphalt 9, PUBG, Modern Combat 5 runs without any jitters or lags even while playing in the highest settings.

Besides gaming, the Motorola One Vision handles day to multitasking with ease without any laginess.

#2. Android One

We are already halfway through 2019, and so far, we haven’t got see Nokia coming up with their budget-oriented Android One smartphones, except for the Nokia 2.2. And Xiaomi on the, on the other hand, may drop the Mi A series.

So, it feels kind of good to see Motorola keeping the Android One smartphone still in the completion.

The most significant advantage of having an Android One device is the guaranteed updates up to two years, which also includes major OS updates and monthly patches from Google.

#3. Average battery

The previously launched Motorola One Power had a massive 5000 mAh battery, which enabled the device to last up to 2 days. However, the same can’t be said with the Motorola one vision battery.

The company has scaled down the battery size; as a result, now you get a 3500 mAh battery.

With the 3500 mAh battery powering the device, you can expect one to one-day full usage.  The good thing is with the Motorola One Vision, you get a 15w charger, which charges the device from 0%-100% within 2 hours.

#4. Good Camera with Night mode

The Motorola One Vision is perhaps the only Android One smartphone to feature a punch hole 25 MP camera.

At the rear, you get a dual-camera setup featuring a 48 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary camera.

By default, the camera takes images at 12 MP setting as the device uses Quad pixel technology.

The rear camera is getting assisted by dual-tone LED flash, which will not be much use primarily because the Motorola One Vision camera has night mode feature.

The night mode features work on both front and the rear camera.

As per image quality is concerned, the Motorola One Vision camera does a pretty good job and can be considered as one of the best camera smartphones you’ll find in the 20K price segment.

Coming to the video, the Motorola One Vision comes with OIS feature, thereby enabling you to shoot videos without any shakiness.

Also, you can shoot slow-motion and time-lapse videos at 1080p quality. Besides, you also get the YouTube Live option in the camera itself.

The YouTube Live enables you to directly broadcast the video in your YouTube channel given you sign in to your account.

This is undoubtedly a useful feature, especially for those who like shooting videos from their smartphone.

#5. High pricing

As mentioned before, one of the reasons why Motorola hasn’t been doing well in the Indian market is because of high pricing.

With the Motorola One Vision price in India starting at Rs 19,999 doesn’t make the device competitive given the completion available in this segment.

The One Vision comes in only variant featuring 4 Gigs of RAM and 128 Gigs of ROM.

With Xiaomi slashing down the price of the Poco F1 to Rs 18K, and Samsung also releasing the A50 at a similar price point, it does give an edge to brands like Xiaomi and Realme due to their aggressive pricing.

If the Motorola One Vision pricing in India would have been around 16-17K then it would have been a good deal, however, with the device priced at 20K, it will be tough for Lenovo to increase the sales number.

#6. Face-unlock

One of the pros of the device is the face-unlock feature. Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the Motorola One Vision also features face-unlock.

The face-unlock feature of Motorola One Vision works pretty well in dark and low-lighting conditions also, which is certainly impressive.

Another thing to know about the Motorola One Vision is that front-camera of the device can also detect eye and facial movement, and doesn’t unlock the phone unless you look at the device properly.

#7. Dual Volte Support

If you are someone who uses mobile data on both the sims then the Motorola One Vision is one device you appreciate having. As you’ll be run both the SIM cards simultaneously as the device comes with dual Volte support.

#8. Decent Display

The device features a massive 6.3-inch Full HD plus IPS LCD display. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection; unfortunately, the version of Gorilla Glass hasn’t been specified.

Another essential thing to know about the Motorola One is that the device isn’t waterproof, but it is splash resistant. So you don’t need to worry in case the One Vision device gets some splashes of water.

The viewing angles are good, watching videos and movies is a treat on this device given the fact that it comes with a screen ratio of 21:9 widescreen and Dolby ATMOS support.

#9. Moto Features

For being an Android One device, you get the pure Android OS with no bloatware or customization.

However, you do get the infamous Moto features that you find on any typical Motorola smartphone. One of them being the Moto Display, this comes in handy because the device doesn’t feature LED notification.

So, if the Moto Display is turned on, the device lights up whenever you receive any notifications.

Apart from Moto Display, the One Vision also features Moto Actions, which on turned on lets you quickly perform actions using gestures.
