Xiaomi has achieved quite a lot this year, and they seem to be no mood of stopping, after launching their flagship smartphones, and then the low budget Redmi 6 Pro, now Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Mi Max 3 and the Mi A2 in India. The Mi Max 3 is all set to launch today and if you are interested in knowing about the device, continue reading.
Anyways, a few days ago, an alleged image of the Mi Max 3 appeared. According to rumors, Mi Max 3 will sport a much larger display than its predecessor the Mi Max 2.
So, here is everything you need to know about the Mi Max 3:-
#6. Design & Display
From the leaked images, the design of the Mi Max 3 looks quite identical to its predecessor. However, there are multiple changes which can be noticed. The first noticeable change is the camera, the Mi Max 3 will be having a vertical dual-camera setup, and from the back, it kind of reminds you of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Now coming to the display, the Mi Max 3 is going to have a large 6.99-inch screen instead of 6.44-inch screen, and it will be having Full HD+ display resolution (1080x2160p). However, the device will not be having any notch which we got to see in the Redmi 6 Pro, and MI 8 series smartphones.
As far as hardware configuration is concerned, the Mi Max 3 hardware configuration will be quite similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, except the bigger battery and a screen size.
Given the fact that smartphones with 6 GB of RAM are already available under 15K, Xiaomi may introduce the Mi Max 3 prime variant which will feature 6 Gigs of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory which will be priced a bit higher, whereas, the lower variant will feature the standard 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM.
Based on the recent launches, the device will feature a hybrid card slot, thereby allowing users to use two nano SIM cards or one nano-SIM and a microSD card.
Xiaomi did disappoint us when they launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro running on Android v7.1.2 despite the fact that Android Oreo was available, well, with the Mi Max 3 you won’t have such complaints as the device will running on the latest MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo (v 8.1.0).
The Mi Max series USP has been the battery, in fact, the Mi Max series is the sole Mi smartphones to feature 5000+ mAh battery. Like the screen size, the Mi Max 3 will also be having a bigger battery. Instead of having a 5300 mAh battery, the Mi Max 3 will come with 5500 mAh battery. In addition to that as you can see from the image above, the device will also support Quick Charge 3.0, therefore, the device won’t take 2-3 hours to get fully charged.
Hopefully, Xiaomi will launch 3 variants of the Mi Max 3, the lower variant will feature 4 Gigs of RAM and 64 Gigs of ROM, which will be priced at Rs 16-17 K, whereas the higher variant featuring 6 Gigs of RAM and 128 Gigs of ROM will be priced between 19-20K. And as far as the availability is concerned, like its predecessor, the Mi Max 3 will be available on both Amazon and Flipkart.
Out of all the other specifications, everyone is talking about the camera because unlike its predecessors, from the leaked image it can be seen clearly that the Mi Max 3 will sport a dual rear camera setup. The dual-camera will be having a vertical setup, which we have already seen on Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Y2.
At the rear, you will get 12 + 5 MP setup along with dual-tone LED flash and at the front, you’ll get an 8 or 13 MP camera for taking selfies. Both the front and rear camera will be AI-powered, therefore, you’ll get features like Face Unlock, Bokeh mode, etc. in the front camera.
