Everything you need to know about the Lenovo K8 Plus
Lenovo has become the most successful smartphone brand in the budget segment after Xiaomi. And the company seems to be in full swing as they are coming with another new budget oriented smartphone i.e. Lenovo K8 Plus next week.
The Lenovo K8 Note was launched last month and is now exclusively available via Amazon. The K8 Plus will be the smaller variant of the already launched K8 Note and will only be available via Flipkart.
Both the devices will have almost have similar hardware configuration like we have seen in the past with the K6 Note and K6 Plus.
So, here is everything you need to know about the Lenovo K8 Plus:
Design wise, the K8 Plus will look very identical to the K8 Note and from the teaser video, it seems that Lenovo has also put the dedicated button on the Lenovo K8 Plus, which is certainly a good thing considering the fact that the K8 Plus will be priced around the 10K segment.
Like the K8 Note, the K8 Plus will also be having the same 1080p display, but there is no confirmation regarding any glass protection and also whether or not the K8 Plus will come with DOLBY ATMOS and Theatre Max Support.
Given the fact that the K8 Plus is kind of a less powerful variant of the K8 Note, the K8 Plus will be having an internal memory of 32 GB, and it may also come with a dedicated micro SD card slot, which will certainly be a good thing because up until now Lenovo kind of avoided this in the previously launched smartphone that came out in 2016.
The MediaTek X23 Decacore processor made the Lenovo K8 Note the most powerful budget smartphone according to the points which it scored in Geekbench and AnTuTu, but the upcoming K8 Plus will rather be having a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor, due to which the K8 Plus may have some heating issues.
Now as far as RAM is concerned, the K8 Plus will be having 3 GB of RAM, unlike the K8 Note, the K8 Plus will not be coming in two memory variants.
One of the USP of the K8 Note was the dual rear camera setup and the front 13 MP camera with front LED flash.
From the teaser video, it’s pretty much clear that even the K8 Plus will also be having a dual rear camera setup, but there will be a bit of change in the front camera, instead of 13 MP camera, you may get an 8 MP camera without a front LED flash.
Like the K8 Note, even the K8 Plus will also be running on the latest version of Android Nougat (v7.1.1), and no it won’t be having the Vibe UI rather it will come with the stock Android skin.
However, like the K8 Note will the K8 Plus will also may get the latest Android v 8.0 Oreo update.
The K8 Plus will be coming with the same 4000 mAh Li-Po battery that we saw in the K6 Note, K6 Plus and also in the latest K8 Note.
According to rumors, the K8 Plus will also be coming with a Turbo Charger, so overall the K8 Plus will be a value for money smartphone.
Lenovo has always been aggressive when it comes to pricing their budget-oriented smartphones, so K8 Plus will be available under 10K.
