Top 7 things to know about the Xiaomi Mi Mix
Currently, the smartphone market is getting dominated by Chinese smartphones manufacturers, which includes the likes of Huawei, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Lenovo, etc. Out of all these smartphone brands, it seems that Xiaomi is likely going to steal the show this year, courtesy of their latest release the Mi Mix. Since its launch, it has been in the headlines, thanks to its 91:3 screen to body ratio. So, basically, the Mi Mix is a bezel-less smartphone. Many are considering it to be the future of smartphones, so in this regard, we are going to mention the top 7 things, which you should know about the new Xiaomi Mi Mix.
The Mi Mix is really a special device, especially, coming from the likes of Xiaomi, which is known for making mid-range centered smartphones. The device will go on sale from this Friday, however, at present, Xiaomi seems to be no mode to launching in several countries where they have been dominating.
So, here are the top 7 things which you must know about the new Xiaomi Mi Mix-
1.Design
The USP of the Mi Mix is its design, in fact, after the Sharp Aquos Crystal, it is the second smartphone in history to feature a bezel-less display. Slo, design wise, the device is the sexiest phone till date.
2.Display
Xiaomi did not only surprise everybody, but they also made everyone jaws drop with the Mi Mix, however, Xiaomi could have done a better work with the display. Although the display is quite great, however, it’s not quad HD or a 4K display, the display you are getting is a 1080p display.
3.Battery
As you know, the Mi Mix features a huge 6.44-inch screen, so you don’t need rocket science to understand that the Mi Mix will require a huge battery. Hence, at the back of the device, Xiaomi have fitted a giant 4400 mAh battery, and guess what the retail unit will be coming with a fast charger, so charging the battery will not take much of your time.
4.Camera
Due to its bezel-less design, some of the sensors and the front camera had to be moved. As a result, the front camera is now placed at the bottom of the display, thankfully it’s an upward facing camera, and at the back of the device, you are getting a 16 MP camera, which is being accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash.
The big question is the camera, because apparently, the Mi5 didn’t have a superb camera and came short in comparison to OnePlus 3, Honor 7, so it would be really interesting to see whether Xiaomi has done some improvement with the camera or not.
5.Slippery body
As you know the Mi Mix is a pretty big smartphone to holding in it hands will not be a be that comforting, but what makes it more difficult to hold is the ceramic body, making it very slippery. So many will be annoyed by it, nevertheless, to cover that up, they will be supplying a leather cover with the retail unit.
6.Hardware
It was kind of expected that Xiaomi would have used the Snapdragon 820 chipset, however to our surprise, Xiaomi has used the latest the Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor, the first two cores are clocked at 2.35 GHz, whereas, the last two cores are clocked at 1.6 GHz. Along with the processor, you are getting 4/6 Gigs of RAM, and, an Adreno 530 GPU, so doing heavy multitasking or gaming will not be an issue.
7.Pricing
Now the big question is the price, well, without a doubt, this is the future of smartphones. So it is pretty obvious that the device will be priced a bit higher, but again, Xiaomi shocked everyone by pricing it very comparatively as a result, the device will be available around $ 400. Now, for those thinking of buying in India will really be disappointed to know that the device will only be sold in China in all of Asia.
